State Street Market Shops is open Tuesday - Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday 11 to 5.

State Street Market Shops celebrates 42 years, and our historic building celebrates 100 years! 

 The Kienzle Brothers built their factory at 701 N State Street in 1923 where they made interior woodwork, store and office fixtures, screens, storm sash, and other woodwork. 

John Kienzle, one of the Kienzle Brothers, owned the house at 309 Wing Park Blvd. that was a showpiece for the Kienzle Brothers and many other Elgin merchants. The house appeared on the Gifford Park Association house tours in 1990 and 2013.

Sally said it then and it's still true today: "Each shop is individually owned, and each shop has its own unique personality because of its own owners". Thank you, Sally, for an amazing 42 years. We look forward to seeing what the next 42 bring!
